WHAT IS FIRST®?
For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology, commonly known as FIRST®, was created to feed the curiosity of people aged 4 to 18 through team-based robotics building and programming. At the end of each season, teams face each other in an exciting and fast-paced competition, challenging their skills! FIRST fosters teamwork and innovation that helps members cultivate new skills and develop real-world experience.
FRC (FIRST Robotics Competition) is the ultimate Sport for the Mind, "The hardest fun you’ll ever have."

Harbord Collegiate Institute
Established in 1892, our alumni have gone on to be engineers worldwide. Our strong co-op program has helped students get into the top schools, such as Waterloo and University of Toronto. Our motto is Virtus et Doctrina, meaning virtue and learning!
